The Warm Audio Centavo is an accurate recreation of the iconic Klon Centaur circuit – the mythical ’90s overdrive that became a secret weapon for everyone from Jeff Beck to James Hetfield.
Use it as a powerful clean boost, dial in beautifully transparent overdrive or push an already driven tube amp into rich, harmonically complex saturation. Centavo captures the response, clarity and unmistakable midrange character that made the original one of the most desirable pedals ever created.

One of the reasons this circuit became legendary is its versatility. Keep the Gain low and turn up the Output for a huge, articulate clean boost, or increase the Gain for everything from edge-of-breakup grit to rich and focused overdrive.

The Famous MOD
Hidden on the rear panel is one of Centavo’s most interesting features: the MOD switch.
Engaging it changes the high-pass filtering and extends the low-frequency response, giving the lower strings a bigger, throatier character. It’s inspired by the famous modification associated with Jeff Beck and adds another highly usable voice to the classic circuit.
Faithful Recreation of the Original Circuit
Warm Audio recreated the original topology using carefully selected components including TL072 op amps, vintage-style diodes, carbon and metal film resistors and a charge-pump voltage regulator.
The result delivers the signature blend of clean signal and overdrive that gives this circuit its exceptional clarity and dynamic response – from clean boost and edge-of-breakup tones to harder clipping.
