Founded in 1989 in California, Matchless quickly became known for their uncompromising craftsmanship and unique sound. Their breakthrough came when Guitar Player Magazine gave the DC-30 model its prestigious Editor's Pick Award .
After a difficult period in the 90s, Matchless was reborn under Phil Jamison's leadership in 2000. Today, the amplifiers are still built by hand in Los Angeles - with the same focus on quality, tone and reliability.
Matchless is still considered one of the most influential manufacturers of boutique amplifiers today.
