About Himmelstrutz Elektro Art
Like many rockers and rocket scientists, I appreciate bold names. I chose the name Himmelstrutz to honor Swedish author Sture Dahlström and his unforgettable character Caotico Q Himmelstrutz.
My passion for guitar started early, but I soon realized I was more interested in shaping great tone than becoming a virtuoso player. That curiosity led me into electronics and the pursuit of creating tools that inspire musicians.
In 1982, I built my first amplifier with a simple goal: create something different. Instead of copying existing tube designs, I explored new ways to achieve inspiring sounds and encourage creativity.
That same philosophy still guides Himmelstrutz Elektro Art today. Every pedal and amplifier is designed to be intuitive, reliable, and inspiring—helping players focus on making music rather than fighting their gear.
Founded in 2004, Himmelstrutz Elektro Art remains a one-man operation. Every product is handcrafted in Sweden with a strong focus on quality, simplicity, and musical expression. Modern design tools help refine the process, but the mission remains unchanged: to build gear that sounds great, lasts for years, and inspires guitarists to create.
