Tube-amp feel from a pedalboard-friendly stereo power amp
The Synergy Wampler Pedalhead is an ultra-compact stereo power amplifier developed in collaboration with Brian Wampler for modern guitar rigs built around digital modelers, external preamps and amp-in-a-box pedals.
Combining 240 watts of stereo output, six selectable power-amp models, machine-learning cabinet adaptation and a true stereo IR loader, Pedalhead delivers the efficiency and portability of modern Class D amplification with the response, compression and playing feel associated with a traditional tube power amp.
Dynamic interaction instead of static simulation
Pedalhead measures voltage and current at its speaker outputs to learn the characteristics of the connected guitar cabinet. It then continues to monitor and adapt while you play, recreating the dynamic interaction between a tube power section and its speaker load.
The result is a lively, amp-like response with authentic characteristics such as sag, compression, harmonic complexity and frequency-dependent damping. Whether your sound begins with a sophisticated digital modeler or an analogue preamp pedal, Pedalhead is designed to make the complete rig feel more responsive and connected.
Six classic power-amp characters
Six selectable models reproduce the behaviour of different classic tube power sections. These are not complete amplifier or preamp simulations. Each model changes how the power amp responds to pick attack, signal level and the connected speaker cabinet.
Master, Presence and Depth controls let you shape both feel and frequency response. Turning up the Master also increases compression and natural power-amp clipping, recreating the edge-of-breakup character of a driven tube output stage.
240 watts of stereo power
The compact enclosure delivers up to 240 watts in stereo and is capable of driving traditional guitar cabinets. Pedalhead dynamically adapts to common cabinet impedances, helping it maintain a consistent feel and powerful response with different speaker loads.
Its complete stereo signal path makes it an ideal partner for stereo delays, reverbs, modulation effects and immersive pedalboard rigs.
True stereo IR processing
The integrated IR loader provides independent left and right signal paths, allowing your stereo image to remain intact when connecting directly to a mixer, PA system or recording interface. Use Pedalhead with physical guitar cabinets, as a cabinet-simulated direct solution, or as the centre of a flexible hybrid stage and studio rig.
Balanced stereo outputs, a headphone output, ground lift, MIDI and USB-C make Pedalhead easy to integrate into modern and fully programmed guitar systems.
