Viva La Prima – Heavy Aged Black
The Viva La Prima is a distinctive, lightweight custom build that combines bold vintage-inspired styling with modern playability and a powerful pair of Firebird-style pickups. Its two-piece roasted pine body is finished in gloss black nitrocellulose lacquer with extensive hand aging, while aged gold and brass hardware gives the guitar a beautifully cohesive, well-travelled appearance.
The one-piece quartersawn hard maple neck features the comfortable Viva Almost Even C profile, measuring 20.9 mm at the first fret and 22.6 mm at the twelfth. Its 25.5-inch scale and classic 9.5-inch fingerboard radius provide a familiar, responsive feel for both rhythm and lead playing.
A pair of GAS Firebird pickups gives the guitar a lively and articulate voice. The 6.0 kOhm neck pickup delivers open, detailed cleans, while the hotter 12.0 kOhm bridge pickup adds punch, bite and authority without losing definition. The straightforward volume and tone controls keep operation immediate and intuitive.
Premium hardware includes an aged gold Faber locking bridge, lightweight aluminium Faber TP-’59 stop tailpiece, brass saddles and aged gold Faber tuners. At only 3.13 kg, this Viva La Prima is exceptionally comfortable, resonant and ready for the stage.
