Valentina Sauce

Valentina sauce is best known for its flavor rather than being a hot sauce (although it is hot too - available in two varieties "red label = HOT" - "black label = Super HOT". The flavor can be described as a citrus flavor with a spicy aftertaste. It is often used for cucumbers and many varieties of fruit, such as watermelon, oranges and pineapple, with lemon and salt.

Valentina is a brand of chili sauce produced by Salsa Tamazula, a company in Guadalajara, Mexico. The irregular shape found on the label represents a map of the Mexican state of Jalisco. Valentina is thicker than Tabasco sauce, with a mild vinegary taste and a pronounced chili flavor.

Ingredients: Water, dried puyas and serrano chilies, iodized salt and spices.
