Thorpy FX Dan Solo

Dinosaural Dan Solo is the standalone version of Cogmeister's Solo section. It puts the same circuit into a smaller format for adding a dedicated boost to your pedalboard.

Cogmeister's Solo circuit in a separate pedal

Dan Solo is for players who want Dinosaural Cogmeister's final boost section without making space for the complete three-stage pedal. The manufacturer specifies an identical Solo circuit, now free to sit wherever it works best in your existing signal chain.

Level adjusts output, while Peak shapes the pedal's voicing. Together they provide a simple way to help the guitar find its place in a mix and balance rhythm and lead levels.

Placement changes the result

Try Dan Solo before an overdrive to push its input harder, or after your drive pedals to raise the level of the processed sound. The available volume increase depends on the remaining headroom of the next pedal or amplifier. In a rig that is already overdriven, extra level may mainly produce more saturation and compression.
