Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded JB/JAZZ Set SH-4b/SH-2n

The Hot Rodded set pairs an SH-4 JB at the bridge with an SH-2n Jazz at the neck. JB delivers bite and rich harmonics, while Jazz provides a clearer neck voice for chords, clean passages and solos.

Two complementary humbuckers

The Hot Rodded set matches the JB bridge pickup with the Jazz neck pickup. It combines a powerful drive voice with a clearer neck position, allowing contrasting sounds for rhythm, clean passages and leads.

The SH-4 JB uses hotter coils and an Alnico 5 magnet for a pronounced upper-midrange attack, articulate bass and harmonically rich treble. Its bridge voice suits blues and rock through to saturated hard-rock and metal sounds. The SH-2n Jazz has lower output, clear treble and a full but controlled low end. Its more recessed midrange provides a contrasting colour to the JB and helps chords and clean notes retain definition.

Flexible wiring options

Both pickups are passive and use four-conductor shielded cable. This allows coil splitting and alternative series/parallel wiring when supported by the guitar's other electronics. They are wax potted to reduce microphonic feedback and built at Seymour Duncan's Santa Barbara factory.

The set includes an SH-4b for the bridge and an SH-2n for the neck. Listed DC resistance figures are approximate manufacturer values and do not alone determine tone or perceived output.
