The Gravitone set is our tribute to the custom-wound pickups found in John Mayer’s iconic Black One Strat — designed for players who want expressive dynamics, shimmering highs, and a distinct scoop in the mids for that unmistakable modern-vintage voice.

Hand-wound with 42 AWG Formvar wire and individually beveled Alnico 5 magnets, the Gravitones are carefully voiced with an underwound neck and middle for extra clarity and sparkle. The neck delivers a warm, open tone that stays articulate under heavy chords or gentle phrasing. The middle pickup is slightly punchier and RWRP for hum-cancelling in positions 2 and 4. The bridge brings just enough output to cut without ever sounding harsh — balanced, focused, and smooth.
