Rapture puts Triptychon's amplifier-inspired overdrive into a compact pedal. It moves from gentle colour to stronger breakup, responding to your picking and working alone or stacked with other drives.

From subtle colour to amplifier-style drive

Rapture is built around the drive section of Crazy Tube Circuits' Triptychon. It aims for the feel of a tube amplifier in its sweet spot: harmonic development, natural compression and a gradual transition from clean sound into breakup. Use it as an always-on foundation or as an additional gain stage.

Drive sets the amount of overdrive, Tone shapes the tonal balance and Master adjusts the output level. Low Drive with a higher Master setting can push the next pedal or your amplifier's input; increasing Drive adds more saturation within Rapture itself.

Two interacting switches

MORE changes gain intensity in conjunction with Drive and MOD. MOD opens up the response and alters the feel of headroom and clipping. These are variations of the same core circuit rather than separate channels. With both switches down, you get the original Triptychon drive circuit. Try Rapture before or after other drive pedals to explore different balances of attack, saturation and output.
