The Bluebox Alba is a boutique electric guitar that showcases the remarkable tonal potential of premium Carpathian tonewoods. Built entirely by hand in Sweden, every instrument is designed to offer exceptional resonance, effortless playability, and timeless aesthetics.
Unlike the Bluebox Origin, which is constructed from reclaimed wood, the Alba is built using specially selected timber sourced from a respected string instrument factory in Transylvania. The Carpathian spruce body—widely regarded as one of the finest soundboard woods by violin makers—produces an incredibly responsive, open, and lively acoustic character. Combined with a Carpathian maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard, the Alba delivers a balanced voice with impressive clarity and sustain.
Custom-wound Bluebox Single Coil pickups provide authentic vintage-inspired tones with modern consistency. The low-output neck pickup produces shimmering cleans and articulate chord work, while the slightly hotter bridge pickup offers extra bite for expressive lead playing and classic overdriven sounds.
Premium components such as CTS electronics, Switchcraft switching, Gotoh SD91 vintage tuners, compensated Gotoh saddles, and Stringjoy strings ensure that every detail meets the standards expected from a world-class boutique instrument.
