BJFE Sunset Overdrive
The BJFE Sunset Overdrive is an exceptionally rare, custom sunburst-painted version of Björn Juhl’s Dynamic Orange Overdrive—or DOOD.
The Dynamic Orange Overdrive was one of the developmental prototypes that eventually led to the legendary Sky Blue Overdrive. Tonally, it sits between the Sky Blue OD and the Little Green Wonder, combining the open, highly responsive feel of the SBOD with some of the warmer midrange character associated with the LGW.
Compared with the Sky Blue Overdrive, the Sunset Overdrive offers less compression, a warmer midrange and a more immediate response to your playing dynamics. It cleans up beautifully with the guitar’s volume control and moves effortlessly from expressive low-gain tones to rich, harmonically detailed overdrive.
The distinctive midrange control lets you shape the crucial low-mid and central midrange frequencies, making it easy to adjust the pedal’s weight, presence and overall balance for different guitars and amplifiers.
Hand-built by Björn Juhl and finished in a stunning custom sunburst, the Sunset Overdrive is both an outstanding musical tool and a highly collectible piece of BJFE history.
