The BJF Honey Bee has been our go-to low/medium gain overdrive at TGT11 since day one. With its signature warm, organic overdrive sound, it’s a pedal we always return to.

Björn Juhl of BJF decided to update this beloved classic, giving it an extended tone control for even more versatility. And here’s the best part — this HBS (Honey Bee Standard) version is Björn’s personal favorite take on the Honey Bee.

Our “magic setting” on a Honey Bee — and we’re sure many players feel the same — is with every knob set to 11 o’clock. But in certain situations, you might want a touch more treble. In the past, that often meant losing the pedal’s signature low-end thump. With this update, Björn has expanded the tone control range so you can dial in that extra high-end shimmer while keeping the golden, overdriven low frequencies fully intact.
