BJFE Aqua Marine Wonder Machine 4K (AMWM4K)
The BJFE Aqua Marine Wonder Machine 4K is a highly versatile overdrive designed to cover a remarkably wide range of tones — from warm, almost clean sounds to low-gain drive and all the way to thick, aggressive, edge-rich overdrive.
Originally conceived as a pedal that would sit somewhere between the Little Green Wonder and the Emerald Green Distortion Machine, the Aqua Marine Wonder Machine was also designed to deliver a midrange character that can stand out even at serious stage volume. This latest 4-knob version is the most flexible iteration yet and it is the only Wonder Machine Bjorn has built with a switch.
One of the defining strengths of the AMWM4K is that it works equally well in front of a clean amp or an already driven amplifier. It can add just a touch of warmth and movement to a clean tone, act as a dynamic low-gain overdrive, or push an amp into a more saturated and expressive voice.
What makes the Aqua Marine Wonder Machine especially unique is its extended control set. In addition to gain, tone, and volume, the pedal includes controls that let you fine-tune the feel, dynamics, and tonal body of the overdrive in a much deeper way than most pedals allow.
Controls

V – Adjusts the overall output volume.

D – Controls the amount of overdrive. Lower settings give a clear low-gain response, middle settings provide a warm driven tone, and higher settings deliver a more aggressive and edgy overdrive.

T – Tone control focused mainly on the upper frequencies, allowing you to shape clarity, bite, and presence.

Z – Adjusts the input impedance. This is especially effective when running the pedal directly from the guitar, helping fine-tune the overall tonal balance with emphasis on the low end. At very low settings, gain is also reduced significantly.

M Switch – Works in a related way to the Z control, but focuses more on the low mids and thickness of the sound, helping shape the feel and body of the overdrive.
The Z and X controls are a big part of what makes the AMWM5K so special. Rather than only shaping EQ in the usual sense, they also influence the response and texture of the pedal, letting you dial in everything from leaner, more open tones to thicker and more forceful sounds.
