Whenever inspiration strikes, the Katana-Air is ready. It is in sleep mode to save power and wakes up immediately when the transmitter detects movement. This means you can leave the transmitter plugged into your guitar and start your amp just by picking up your guitar! When you stop playing, the transmitter returns to sleep mode to save its charge. What’s more, the transmitter automatically establishes the optimal connection when docked for charging, so there are no complicated setup procedures required.
The wireless Katana-Air becomes even more powerful with support for external control via Bluetooth. The dedicated BOSS Tone Studio app is available for both iOS and Android devices, giving you total control of the Katana-Air right from your smartphone or tablet. You can adjust all of the amp’s panel controls and get exclusive access to effects types and signal paths only available through the app. You can also save settings to the amp’s memories, organize sound libraries on your device, and download free sounds directly from BOSS Tone Central.
The Katana-Air also features a stereo headphone output and guitar speaker simulation recording. This lets you record professional amp sounds and effects into a recording program and enjoy inspiring stereo sound when playing quietly through headphones. You can even adjust the speaker simulation's microphone position using the Air Feel control in the BOSS Tone Studio app.
