BRITISH-FLAVORED PREAMP MODULE
The Synergy RD captures two of the most iconic British high-gain personalities ever created, delivering everything from muscular rock crunch to thick, saturated modern gain – all within Synergy’s all-tube modular preamp platform.
With two fully independent channels and switchable ROCK and DARK voicings, the RD gives you a huge range of tones, from articulate hard rock rhythm sounds to crushing modern metal and fluid, sustaining leads.
Like every Synergy module, the RD is designed not only to reproduce the sound of the original amplifier circuits, but also their feel, touch sensitivity, dynamics and response.
ROCK & DARK BRITISH VOICES
Both channels are completely independent and feature selectable ROCK and DARK modes.
ROCK mode delivers the unmistakable character of a modern British rock amplifier – tight, aggressive and highly articulate. Expect thick crunch, powerful midrange punch and excellent note definition, with enough gain for singing lead tones.
DARK mode transforms the RD into a heavier and more saturated beast. The low end becomes bigger, the feel more compressed and the overall response darker and thicker – ideal for crushing rhythm tones, doom-inspired textures and smooth, sustaining leads.
Each channel also features a three-position Bright switch, making it easy to fine-tune the high-frequency response from smooth and rounded to aggressive and cutting.
Independent Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Volume controls for each channel give you complete control over your sound. Set up rhythm and lead tones, vintage and modern variations, or two completely different amplifier-style sounds and switch between them instantly.
CATHODE SELECT
The RD features Synergy’s Cathode Select function, allowing you to adjust the input tube response to change the feel, bass response and tightness of the module.

Position 1: 1.5K resistor / 22µF capacitor

The RD is factory-set to the center position, but all three settings can be explored to find the response that works best with your playing style and rig.

SYNERGY LIMITED THREE-YEAR WARRANTY
Synergy offers a limited three-year warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. Original tubes are covered for 90 days from the date of purchase.
Unauthorized repairs or modifications will void the warranty. Warranty service outside the United States should be handled through the dealer or distributor from which the product was purchased.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Dangerous voltages are present inside Synergy modular equipment. Never attempt to repair or modify a module yourself. Always switch off and disconnect your amplifier or preamp before installing or removing a module.
All module slots must contain either a module or an approved blank cover panel. Never place fingers or other objects inside an open module slot.
Synergy hardware and interchangeable preamps are protected under US patent.
