Novo Custom Serus J – Aztec Gold Over Bull Black
A stunning custom-built Novo Serus J finished in Aztec Gold over Bull Black with Novo's Medium distress treatment. The combination of the worn gold top coat and black under-finish gives the guitar a beautifully aged, individual character that will continue to develop naturally with use.
Built in Nashville, Tennessee, the Serus J blends the feel and familiarity of classic offset guitars with Dennis Fano's unmistakable design language and Novo's exceptionally refined build quality.
Tempered Pine Body & Tempered Maple Neck
The body is constructed from tempered pine, giving the guitar a lively, resonant and extremely responsive acoustic character while keeping the overall feel light and comfortable.
The tempered maple neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard and Novo's comfortable Medium C profile measuring approximately .830" at the first fret. A compound 9.5"–14" radius combines an easy vintage-inspired feel for rhythm playing with a flatter upper register for bends and lead work.
Lollar P-90 Pickups
A pair of Lollar P-90s gives the Serus J the perfect balance between single-coil clarity and the authority of a larger pickup. Expect open, dynamic cleans, rich midrange, excellent note definition and a wonderfully aggressive growl when pushed into an overdriven amplifier.
They're equally convincing for jangly rhythm sounds, blues, garage rock, indie, alternative and full-on rock tones.
Mastery Bridge & Novo Vibrato
The guitar is equipped with a Mastery M1 bridge and Novo's NV vibrato with Lightning Bolt arm. It's a premium offset-style setup designed for excellent tuning stability, sustain and smooth, expressive vibrato action.
