The Wahcko is back – refined, expanded and more versatile than ever.
Since 2008, the Wahcko has been one of the defining pedals in the JAM Pedals lineup, known for its expressive sweep, immediate feel and highly musical response to both player and rig. Over the years it has found its way onto the pedalboards of players including Nile Rodgers, Bill Frisell, John Scofield, Steve Lukather, Richie Sambora and Greg Koch.
With the Wahcko mk.2, JAM has gone back to the original design and refined the details while adding greater control and a wider usable range. At the heart of the pedal is a custom JAM inductor inspired by the vintage TDK inductors found in classic 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits.
Six Wah Voices in One Pedal
The familiar six-position SWEEP control remains, letting you tailor the frequency range to different guitars, amplifiers and playing styles. From darker, vocal sweeps to more cutting and aggressive wah tones, the Wahcko mk.2 makes it easy to find the right response for your rig.
More Control Than Before
The original Wahcko's internal input-gain trimmer is retained, while the mk.2 adds a new internal Q control. This allows finer adjustment of the character and intensity of the wah effect – ideal for players who want to dial in exactly how broad, sharp or pronounced the sweep feels. Now for Guitar and Bass
For the first time, internal DIP switches allow the Wahcko to be configured specifically for guitar or bass. The bass mode extends the usable sweep into lower frequencies while retaining the musical response and feel that made the original Wahcko such a favourite.
Adjustable Rocker Feel
The physical resistance of the treadle can also be adjusted using the included 4 mm Allen key, allowing you to set the rocker anywhere from a lighter, faster movement to a firmer and more controlled feel.
