A striking 2018 Gibson Les Paul Standard finished in Mojave Burst, combining the unmistakable look and sound of a classic Les Paul with a number of modern, player-friendly features.
The mahogany body features Gibson’s Ultra-Modern weight relief, making the guitar noticeably more comfortable than many traditional Les Pauls without sacrificing its characteristic sustain and authority. A carved AAA figured maple top gives the Mojave Burst finish plenty of depth and movement, while cream binding and chrome hardware complete the classic appearance.
The mahogany neck has Gibson’s asymmetrical Slim Taper profile, with a little more support on the bass side and a slimmer feel on the treble side. Together with the compound-radius rosewood fingerboard, it provides comfortable chord playing in the lower positions and effortless bends further up the neck.
A pair of BurstBucker Pro humbuckers delivers the familiar combination of a warm, full neck pickup and an articulate, powerful bridge pickup. Both pickups respond beautifully to playing dynamics and cover everything from clean blues and classic rock to heavier overdriven sounds.
Four push-pull controls considerably expand the available sounds:
