The Boes Guitars Oxen BatMan is a handcrafted electric guitar built with a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Its open-pore shellac finish preserves the natural feel and character of the wood while giving the instrument a beautifully understated appearance.
A DiMarzio mini humbucker in the neck position is paired with a Seymour Duncan ’59 humbucker at the bridge, creating a versatile combination with everything from warm, articulate neck tones to powerful and open vintage-style sounds.
Boes Guitars builds handcrafted acoustic and electric guitars with a strong focus on quality, playability and tone. Each instrument is made with carefully selected materials and close attention to the details that make a genuine difference. Traditional guitar making meets modern functionality, resulting in personal and reliable instruments for both stage and studio.
Boes Guitars is run by Karlstad-born guitar maker Jonatan Boes. After studying at Musikinstrumentakademien, Jonatan received his journeyman’s certificate in guitar making in 2020. Today, he works as part of the GuitarMakers collective on Södermalm in Stockholm.
