BJF Sonic Silver Peg Deluxe
The BJF Sonic Silver Peg Deluxe takes the core concept of Björn Juhl’s celebrated Silver Peg preamp and expands it into a far more flexible, powerful and performance-oriented platform.
Built around the same British-inspired bass preamp philosophy, the Deluxe version adds a dedicated overdrive section, expanded EQ control and a more comprehensive front panel for shaping everything from clean, authoritative bass tones to saturated, harmonically rich drive.
Classic Silver Peg Character, Expanded
At its heart, the Silver Peg Deluxe is designed to deliver the punch, weight and musical midrange associated with classic high-powered British bass amplifiers.
The Low and High controls shape the overall frequency balance, while the dedicated Mid Level control gives you additional control over the most important part of the bass spectrum.
350 Hz and 800 Hz EQ
Two dedicated EQ controls at 350 Hz and 800 Hz allow you to shape the lower and upper midrange independently.
Use 350 Hz to control body, thickness and low-mid weight, while 800 Hz lets you fine-tune presence, definition and attack. Together they make it easy to move from deep, rounded tones to more aggressive, articulate sounds that cut clearly through a mix.
Dedicated Overdrive
The left footswitch engages the pedal’s Overdrive section, adding an additional layer of gain and saturation without sacrificing the core character of the preamp.
With the Gain control you can move from subtle harmonic enrichment and edge-of-breakup warmth to thick, driven bass tones with plenty of attitude.
The separate Volume control makes it easy to balance levels and use the pedal equally well as an always-on preamp, a driven tone shaper or a switchable overdrive.
Performance-Oriented Layout
The Silver Peg Deluxe is built around immediate hands-on control. There are no menus and no hidden secondary functions — just dedicated knobs for the parameters that matter most.
The right footswitch controls Bypass, while the left footswitch independently engages the Overdrive section, making it easy to move between clean preamp tones and more aggressive driven sounds during a performance.
