Lehle DC Filter
The Lehle DC Filter is a small but extremely useful problem solver for noisy rigs. It removes unwanted DC voltage from analog audio signals, helping to reduce loud pops and switching noise without colouring your tone.
DC offset can appear in several places in a signal chain, especially from active circuits such as acoustic guitar or bass preamps, effect processors, switchers, or the input of certain tube amplifiers. The Lehle DC Filter is designed to sit directly in the signal path and clean things up in a completely passive way — no power supply required.
Clean switching, no tone loss
Whether you are switching between instruments, using loop switchers, running preamps, or dealing with a vintage amp that creates switching noise, the DC Filter helps keep your signal quiet and reliable. It works with mono, stereo and even balanced signals.
Typical uses
- Reducing switching noise from FX processors or preamps
- Filtering DC offset from onboard instrument preamps
- Reducing pops when switching amplifiers
- Cleaning line-level or high-impedance signals
- Use with mono, stereo or balanced signals
Passive and transparent
The Lehle DC Filter requires no power and is designed to leave your tone unchanged. Just connect the DC socket towards the source causing the DC offset, and the 0DC socket towards the next device in your signal chain.
