The Yellow Tremolo is designed to capture the organic, flowing tremolo character associated with great vintage tube amplifiers from the 1950s and 1960s. Rather than sounding like an effect sitting on top of your guitar, the YT becomes part of the sound, with a wonderfully natural sine-wave pulse that integrates seamlessly with your core tone.
Its character is smooth, buttery and unmistakably amp-like. At subtle settings it adds gentle movement and dimension, while increasing the Depth brings out a deeper, swampier pulse that's perfect for vintage blues, roots, Americana, surf and atmospheric guitar sounds.
Like the best BJFe designs, the beauty of the Yellow Tremolo is how quickly you can find a great sound. There are only two controls, but everything you need is there.
Controls
Velocity: Controls the speed of the tremolo. The LED flashes in time with the selected rate.
Depth: Controls the intensity of the tremolo, from subtle movement to deep, pronounced pulses.
Volume: Use it for a volume boost when kicking in the tremolo or as a great booster with the speed and depth knobs off
Why We Like It
The YT doesn't try to reinvent tremolo — it simply makes it feel exceptionally good under the fingers. There's no sense of fighting the effect or losing the personality of your guitar and amplifier.
