Thanks to the Tubescreamer, Ibanez is a legend in the effects pedals world. New from Ibanez is what is sure to be a future classic, the ES2 Echo Shifter delay. This all-analog signal path delay pedal is the perfect mix between vintage tone and styling and modern flexibility and convenience. At its very basic level, the Echo Shifter is a killer delay pedal featuring 30ms-1000ms delay time. To control the ?delay time? parameter, Ibanez gives you a couple of choices: there?s a tap tempo footswitch for locking in your exact tempo and also a classic, synth-style slider control that takes you from short to long delay times. This slider wasn?t exactly designed for precision control with one?s foot, but guess what? You can totally control it with your foot, meaning you can tweak your delay in real time for all the maniacal, noisy swoosh and self-oscillation you could hope for. There are additional controls to add modulation to the delay (with mod depth control) as well as an oscillation switch that, when engaged, immediately turns the Echo Shifter into a space-age noise machine. Ibanez housed all this in a very cool, vintage housing that looks more than a little like any of a number of old Moog synths, making this a pedal that looks almost as amazing as it sounds.
