Centavo captures the response, clarity and unmistakable midrange character that made the original one of the most desirable pedals ever created.

Clean Boost, Overdrive or Amp Pusher

One of the reasons this circuit became legendary is its versatility. Keep the Gain low and turn up the Output for a huge, articulate clean boost, or increase the Gain for everything from edge-of-breakup grit to rich and focused overdrive.

Into an already cooking tube amp, Centavo adds punch, definition and sustain without destroying the character of your guitar and amplifier.

The Famous MOD

Hidden on the rear panel is one of Centavo’s most interesting features: the MOD switch.

Engaging it changes the high-pass filtering and extends the low-frequency response, giving the lower strings a bigger, throatier character. It’s inspired by the famous modification associated with Jeff Beck and adds another highly usable voice to the classic circuit.

Faithful Recreation of the Original Circuit

Warm Audio recreated the original topology using carefully selected components including TL072 op amps, vintage-style diodes, carbon and metal film resistors and a charge-pump voltage regulator.

The result delivers the signature blend of clean signal and overdrive that gives this circuit its exceptional clarity and dynamic response – from clean boost and edge-of-breakup tones to harder clipping.

Simple Controls, Huge Range

Gain – From nearly clean boost to rich overdrive

Treble – Shapes the high-frequency response

Output – Controls overall level and provides plenty of boost

MOD – Extends the low-end response for a fuller, throatier sound

Highlights

Faithful recreation of the legendary Klon Centaur circuit

Clean boost, transparent overdrive and amp-pushing tones

Rear-panel MOD switch for extended low-frequency response

TL072 op amps

Vintage-style diodes

Carbon and metal film resistors

Charge-pump voltage regulator

Gain, Treble and Output controls

Buffered bypass

1/4" instrument input and amplifier output

Tested and inspected in Austin, Texas

There’s a reason this circuit has become one of the most copied, collected and talked-about overdrives in history.
